Proman Announces Scholarships for NESC-TI Students

Two aspiring technical professionals will have the opportunity to pursue their ambitions through the Clinton B. Ramberansingh Technical Excellence Scholarship, announced by Proman at the IPSL Legacy Book Launch on 1 October 2026.

The scholarship is being established in partnership with NESC Technical Institute to support two Trinidad and Tobago nationals annually from 2027 as they pursue industry-relevant technical training.

Mr Ramberansingh began his career as a trainee operator, building his knowledge through practical experience, technical learning and mentorship. He went on to lead and develop generations of technical professionals in Trinidad and Tobago’s petrochemical industry. The scholarship will carry that commitment forward by helping others begin their own journey.

In his remarks, Mr Kern A.M. Dass, President of NESC Technical Institute, highlighted the people behind the opportunity: “Behind each award will be a person with talent, ambition and a future worth investing in.”

For students at NESC-TI, financial support can make a difference in everyday ways. Beyond tuition, the costs of transport, tools, equipment and access to technology can place pressure on students and their families. The scholarship is intended to help address these needs, giving recipients greater support to participate fully in their training.

The proposed programme also includes opportunities for industry exposure and engagement with Proman technical professionals, helping scholars connect their learning with the careers they hope to pursue.

NESC-TI thanks Proman for investing in its students and honouring Mr Ramberansingh’s legacy through an opportunity that will benefit a new generation.

Further details on eligible programmes, selection criteria and the application process will be shared once arrangements are finalised.
