On Monday 8th July, 2024 the Vice President of Student Services at the NESC Technical Institute, Rafael Mohammed, visited Guyana with Red Deer Polytechnic, to formalize partnerships with the New Amsterdam Technical Institute (NATI), Georgetown Technical Institute (GTI), and Linden Technical Institute (LTI).

This collaboration, initiated by signing statements of intent in 2023, has now been solidified through Memorandums of Understanding. These agreements lay the groundwork for a comprehensive needs assessment of unskilled and semi-skilled workers, the establishment of a competency assessment system, and the development of skills training programmes.
Together, we are committed to addressing Guyana’s labour training needs and fostering a skilled workforce for the future.
