Application Process

Application Process for International students

  • Choose your preferred programme.
  • Prepare your documents (passport bio page, academic certificates, proof of English proficiency).
  • Submit the online application form.
  • Await your admission decision via email.
  • Use the admission letter to apply for a student visa to Trinidad and Tobago.
  • Register and pay tuition fees.

Entry Requirements

To qualify for admission to NESC-TI as an international student, you must have:

CXC CSEC certificate with Math, English A and any science or technical subject OR a CVQ Level 1 qualification

Proof of English proficiency: IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent (for non-English speakers)

Application Fee: No application fee

Tuition Fees: USD 5000.00 per academic year. Programmes run for 2 academic years

Visa & Immigration Support

After receiving your offer letter, you can apply for a student visa. NESC-TI provides official documentation and guidance to support your visa application. Our international office is available to answer any questions you may have.

You will also be assigned an International Student Liaison Officer for the duration of your studies. This dedicated officer will assist you with:

  • Settling in after arrival
  • Understanding local systems and services
  • Navigating campus life
  • Accessing student resources

General

Yes, if English is not your first language, you may be required to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores, or demonstrate proficiency through an approved English language course.

 

International students should check with the Immigration Division of Trinidad and Tobago regarding work permit requirements.

Holders of Caribbean Single Market & Economy (CSME) certificates may be eligible to work.

NESC-TI does not currently offer work-study programmes for international students.

We provide orientation sessions, academic support, career guidance, and limited immigration advice to help you settle in and succeed at NESC-TI.

Our student community is diverse, hands-on, and career-focused. You’ll find a supportive environment with opportunities to participate in industry projects, community outreach, and student-led initiatives.

After receiving your acceptance letter, you can apply for a student visa through the Ministry of National Security. Our International Student Liaison Officer can assist with guidance during this process.

All diploma programmes are two years full time.

  • For some programmes, the school year runs from September to August, in two semesters.
    September – December
    January – May
  • For other programmes, the school year is organised by trimester:
    September – December
    January – April
    May – August

Yes, you have the option of on-campus or off-campus housing. We will assist you with arranging accommodation.

Tuition is USD 5000.00 per year
