NESC Technical Institute is proud to announce the appointment of Hayden Ferreira as its new Chairman. Mr. Ferreira was officially appointed by the Board of Governors during a meeting held on Thursday, May 16, 2024.

With over 40 years of experience in engineering and management,  Mr. Ferreira brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master’s degree in Business Administration. He has had a distinguished career in the manufacturing and engineering sectors, working in professional, managerial, and consulting positions. He has also served as a lecturer in Operations Management to MBA students. Throughout his career, he has authored several technical publications and presented at local and international technical conferences.

In addition to his new role at NESC Technical Institute, Mr. Ferreira also serves on other Company Boards that allow his unique skillset to be applied towards Trinidad and Tobago’s economic development. His association with NESC-TI spans approximately 15 years, during which he has served in various capacities, including as a member of the Board for the last 5 years. Notably, he played a pivotal role in the design, development and implementation of the Point Lisas Industrial Apprenticeship Programme (PLIAP), that now has a unique place on the industrial landscape.

We are confident that Mr. Ferreira’s extensive experience and leadership will significantly contribute to NESC Technical Institute’s goal of becoming the leading provider of Technical and Vocational training in Trinidad and Tobago.
