- Develop a heightened sense of safety in the workplace and environment.
- Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the various types of installations, systems, equipment, hand tools and power operated machines used in the servicing and/or at the wellsite.
- Be skillful in the safe use of these tools in order to safely fulfil the objectives of the Operator and/or Technician.
- Be capable of reading basic site schematics and following activities as per schematic and/or as instructed by Wellsite Superiors.
- Understand the concepts of Geological Analysis and Formation Evaluation and their applicability in Well Planning/Execution.
- Know the principles associated with the various site activities/operations, and actively participate in each activity/operation in a safe and efficient manner.
- Understand the effects of various abnormalities and identify problems associated with each; and understand the problems associated with the operations mentioned previously.
- Be familiar with the roles and responsibilities of various levels of personnel in the industry.
