NESC-TI and Tobago Hotel & Tourism Association Sign MoU for Training and Employment
NESC Technical Institute (NESC-TI) and the Tobago Hotel and Tourism Association (THTA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), aimed at enhancing workforce development and promoting local talent in Tobago.
The signing ceremony took place on Wednesday 26th June 2024 at THTA-member hotel Comfort Inn & Suites in Scarborough, symbolising the start of a strategic partnership focused on training, internship facilitation, and employment opportunities for Tobago residents within the tourism sector.
Hayden Ferreira appointed Chairman of NESC Technical Institute
NESC Technical Institute is proud to announce the appointment of Hayden Ferreira as its new Chairman. Mr. Ferreira was officially appointed by the Board of Governors during a meeting held on Thursday, May 16, 2024.
With over 40 years of experience in engineering and management, Mr. Ferreira brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master’s degree in Business Administration. He has had a distinguished career in the manufacturing and engineering sectors, working in professional, managerial, and consulting positions. He has also served as a lecturer in Operations Management to MBA students. Throughout his career, he has authored several technical publications and presented at local and international technical conferences.
