Apprenticeship Partners
The Point Lisas Industrial Apprenticeship Programme (PLIAP) is a two-year apprenticeship programme for graduates of selected technical vocational prorg 2 and 3 programmes.
Each PLIAP apprentice completes four six-month rotations with businesses in Trinidad & Tobago’s energy, in and manufacturing sectors.
When it was established in 2013, PLIAP intended to address the labour shortages on the Pt. Lisas Industrial Estate by producing skilled, certified journeymen.
Since then, the programme has grown to include over 40 local and multinational manufacturing and energy firms across Trinidad and Tobago. As PLIAP partners, these businesses provide apprentices with work experience, training, and mentorship developing them into talented, competent, and responsible journeymen capable of meeting the demands of these industries.
