A person in possession of the Trades Professional Certificate is considered to be of the same standing as a Canadian Journeyman.
The Canadian Journeyman status is widely recognised within Canada and internationally. With this qualification a persons can then challenge the Canadian Red Seal which allows portability across all provinces of Canada and will greatly assist in one’s job search.
To attain the Trades Professional Certificate a person must be a graduate of an NESC-TI Diploma Programme and just have completed 1640 hours of Industry work experience recorded in a logbook which will be provided to them by the NESC-TI.
The completed logbook is sent to Red Deer College by the NESC-TI for validation prior to the issuing of the Trades Professional Certificate.
